Post-doc / Engineer, in vitro and in vivo preclinical tests for electrophysiology recording and stimulation via an innovative medical device.
Description du projet
BrainTech Lab is a translational technological research unit dedicated to the development of innovative neurotechnologies for brain diseases. The Lab addresses biomedical needs related to brain tumors, neurodegenerative diseases, or disabilities.
This post-doc mission will contribute to the validation of the proof-of concept for a new medical device (MD) ‘Neuro Snooper’ in preclinical models (animal/in vitro), a required step before initiating a clinical trial (Technology Readiness Level from 2/3 to 4). Already existing MDs with electrode wires are either very stiff or with a milli-metric dimension. The ERC work has led to a first generic, miniaturized prototype implant with moderate invasiveness and which design was validated in connection with neurosurgeons. It is in particular suitable for the glioblastoma (GBM) application. In a long-term perspective, it will help to characterize brain signals and hyperexcitability in several brain diseases.
Description de l'offre
Missions
- Perform cell characterization around the future medical device: impedance measurement, electrophysiology recording/ stimulation (in vivo/in vitro), signal analysis, immuno-cyto/histo-chemistry, microscopy
- Keep appropriate experimental records and documentation and present the results analysis to the Principal Investigator
- Keep a notebook for the characterization of each medical device
- Participate to animal experimentation and to in vitro cell culture
- Participate to the micro-nanofabrication in clean-room
- Participate to the redaction of publications
Description du profil
