Context
With 4% of the world's population affected, according to the WHO, obstructive sleep apnea-hypopnea syndrome (OSAHS) is a major health and economic issue.
Today, nearly 80% of the affected population remains undiagnosed diagnosed in the world.
Technology
The EPISAS project consists in developing an innovative medical device based on geometric morphometry and artificial intelligence, for the screening of OSA.
Advantages
Episas is a solution for screening for OSA using a simple, quick-to-use, non-irradiating and non-invasive device.
State of progress
The Episas solution is now at the proof-of-concept stage. An initial study on nearly 300 patients has led to the development of a solution that achieving an accuracy of nearly 70%.
Applications
The EPISAS solution will provide practitioners with a simple and rapid system that facilitates the choice of different orientations for patients in their care pathway.
