Context
European manufacturers, committed to the carbon neutrality target set by the European Union for 2050, are struggling to transform their models systematically because data is scattered, LCAs are slow, and circular models are costly and not very viable. The result: delayed decisions and missed opportunities.
Technology
SusInnoS is a modular digital decision support platform that automates environmental assessment using frugal AI, facilitates circular strategy design and the development of functional economy models to promote sustainable products.
Advantages
SusInnoS enables manufacturers to save 70% of LCA time and improve the efficiency of internal staff, while reducing costs. It facilitates the management of sustainable and profitable circular strategies, promoting decarbonisation. It thus enables sustainable production and responsible consumption.
State of progress
SusInnoS' circular strategy and functional economy modules have been tested on MasterPacT circuit breakers (Schneider Electric) and Series 8 vacuum cleaners (BSH). Currently at TRL 3, the project aims to reach TRL 6 at the end of the maturation phase with Linksium and Grenoble INP.
Applications
SusInnoS is aimed at manufacturers in the electronics, electrical, transport, construction and energy sectors. It enables them to:
- Assess environmental impacts
- Design circular strategies
- Design functional economy models
- Automatically calculate circularity indicators.
