Context

With the steadily growing volume and diversity of data, scientific research, industry and healthcare, in particular, are expressing a strong need for new processing and analysis methods, in particular through visualization.

To make the most of this data, new uses are emerging, notably through virtual environment technologies that facilitate collaboration between different professions.

Technology

DIVE software connects multiple software applications (statistics, CAD, simulations, medical imaging, etc.) used by professionals within XR virtual environments (virtual, augmented and mixed reality), enabling them to directly manipulate objects and representations in a collaborative way. DIVE also integrates artificial intelligence algorithms, offering users new ways of representing their data to enrich simultaneously their analyses.

Advantages

Our solution connects existing business software to capitalize on its maturity by enriching it with new XR interaction modes. It puts the accent on collaboration, freeing users from certain constraints such as data and script transfers, while maintaining maximum interactivity with visualization. DIVE proposes an approach inherited from cognitive concepts to centralize and spatialize information in the best possible way.

State of progress

The software is currently used in the laboratory to visualize virtual reality simulations of tumor tissue (from PhysiCell software). The integration of mixed reality is currently under development, and several modules for healthcare applications are planned.

Applications

DIVE is designed for all kinds of scientific visualization, particularly in the healthcare sector, including the development of therapeutic solutions, multidisciplinary collaboration and the visualization of associated (imaging) data.
